Another Thursday means another set of challenges in Epic Game’s wildly popular battle royale title Fortnite. This week, these challenges include dealing headshot damage, destroying various environmental objects across the map, and searching where the magnifying glass sits on the treasure map.
Per usual, once players have completed these tasks, they will be able to find a hidden battle star. Since gathering these are helpful in leveling up the Battle Pass and earning the tier-100 Luxe skin, it seems safe to say many Fortnite players will be on the lookout for this Hidden Battle Star, so here’s where to find it.
Fortnite players will want to take note of the Volcano that emerged at the beginning of season 8. To the right of it, there is an outline of trees, in which players will find their battle star. This can be a little tricky, as the exact location is hard to determine due to the foliage, but as seen below, it will be due south of Sunny Steps.
What players want to look for to identify this is a small cliff where two ziplines converge; next to that, Fortnite players will see a small Sunny Steps-like temple. Landing here is what players should aim for, and then by proceeding down to the edge of the platform, players will see the hidden battle star appear.
It’s worth differentiating this battle star from the one found by completing the magnifying glass challenge. Landing in that area will yield players the battle star regardless of progress in the week 3 challenges, but this hidden battle star will only appear for those who have completed all season 8 week 3 Fortnite challenges.
Notably, this can also be done at any point in Fortnite season 8, as players may also still need to pick up the season 8 week 1 hidden battle star. It’s a bit too early to discuss the end of season 8, but players will want to gather these battle stars by then to get the most they can out of the free Battle Pass tier.
Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
